 What You Need

To start your brewing hobby, you need to get a HOME BREWERY KIT  which includes most of these basics essentials you need to make your first batch of beer and bottle it.

BEER INGREDIENT KIT-
The ingredients for your first batch. They come in a can & are supplied with yeast. All you have to do is add glucose, dextrose or maltose (NOT SUGAR) & water.

FERMENTER -
This is the container in which beer is allowed to ferment.

THERMOMETER -
To monitor the temperature of your fermenting beer.

AIRLOCK -
To allow carbon dioxide out of the fermenter & stop air getting in.

TAP & BOTTLING VALVE -
For getting beer into the bottles.

STERILIZE -
To prevent contamination.

PLASTIC SPOON or PADDLE -
For mixing your brew ingredients.

GLUCOSE / DEXTROSE / MALTOSE
This is a much better quality brewing ingredient than the white sugar that is so widely used.

HYDROMETER
For testing your beer to see if fermentation is finished & for measuring alcohol.

BOTTLE BRUSH
A great help for cleaning bottles.

PRIMING SCOOP
To measure the priming sugar into the bottles.

BOTTLES
To contain the beer for secondary fermentation.

CAPPING TOOL & CROWN SEALS
To seal each bottle.

These are the essentials that you will need to get going. As long as you have some bottles, sugar & water at home, you're on your way to making your first batch of about 36 bottles of fine beer without spending an extra cent.
